Natural rubber latex is a processed plant derived from the Hevea brasiliensis tree found in Africa and Southeast Asia. Some individuals experience allergic reactions to latex that can range from a mild rash to severe, life-threatening anaphylactic shock. As a result of the potential dangers associated with latex glove use, your facility may have banned their use.
With advancements in technology, the protein content in latex gloves can be controlled, which helps minimize allergic reactions. RONCO also offers synthetic vinyl or nitrile gloves for use in latex-free workplace environments. |
